Gratitude is an Embodiment Practice

Up with the drive of the morning
And its have-tos and must-bes,
The frustrations of not getting there fast enough,
Of not being in the right place,
Of chasing our tail.

Holding a delicate balance across the void;
Between the dreamer, the other-worldly,
And the friction; the fire of BEing.

Then, remembering our breath mid morning (along with our coffee),
We lift our gaze for a moment from our phones
And a view suddenly opens up in the pause!

A different world!
A different life!

And that eternal point between grows fuller and fuller and full,
Until the observed finally becomes the outpouring of our hearts.

So that when now we reflect on:
Being woken up in the night to sooth a bad dream,
Being woken up too early by the joys of "its only 3 sleeps till my birthday",
And the dog having been sick on the rug,

We embrace all of this and more with gratitude for...
This opportunity to feel!
(As only a human can)
In this story called Life.

And our hearts sing out for this divine appointment that is uniquely ours.
Grabbing it with both hands.

Make the Mundane Spiritual

Since my teens
I've done so much shadow "work",
Learned so many systems,
Been to so many mystery schools,
Heard so many teachers sharing their how tos, whys and where fores.

Whispers of higher dimensionals,
Fantastical beasts, fée, dragons and mágical lores,
Far-off lands, worlds and sub-realities,
Spirit guides and etheric animals -
I've journeyed into the Eye of the void and back way behind the back of beyond.

And all that has taken me back to right here,
To right now;
Sitting in this hammock,
With my flesh-and-bones dog by my side,
The monkeys and breeze in the trees,
And this wonderful, multi-layered experience of Life, playing out infront of me,
Giving me the opportunity to tune in, or tune out.

And I reflect on all of the beautiful teachings, the skills, the tools, the codes;
The sacred roles they played in getting me here,
But, as the bridge to Avalon,
That is no longer required to get me back home -
Because here I be.

In every now, in every breath, in every me.
(Whether I'm holding space in the Astral, reconnecting a seeker with their ancestors, or childrearing).

A Wing & A Prayer

Moving to Costa Rica on a wing and a prayer,
Away from division,
Towards unification
With Nature.

Free-falling into the arms of a life,
Fully lived,
Deeply felt,
Into the cells & the Void Within
And back out to the Stars above.

The unrolling,
The unfurling,
The unwinding,
Of the wounds of generations & lives past,
The clearing of this 2-way street
The ceaseless exchange across this bridge
That I AM.

The burning,
The tears,
The purging,
Fragmentation to wholeness again
- plus the whole concertina,

Sensations of solar realignment,
With Universal flow
To connection to what IS,
In order to be closer to
Eternal
Life.

The All & the EYE

Like attracts like and I tend to attract clients who are on the path of embodiment.

These individuals are happily and skilfully connected to the ALL (and usually empathic, clairvoyant and well aware of their multi-dimensionality), but who find defining, or grounding their Eye in a clear, balanced way, challenging, as I did.

What I’ve learnt is that claiming the Eye includes setting boundaries; both those within which the Self can play, stretch and learn, BUT also committing to the container of one’s BODY as the most grounded aspect of the vessel for Life to flow through.

It is evident in systemic constellations that when we prioritise the connection to the ALL, over the connection to the I/ Eye/ physical vessel/ physicality, we are actually closer to DEATH than to LIFE.

The trouble is, the people who are readily connected to the ALL are often perpetual seekers, plant medicine (ab)users, spiritual tourists and those who are used to popping over to another dimension to seek the answer to Life, Love and everything, without giving the answer they receive long enough to really INTEGRATE, or to bed in at all.

It’s like a perpetual high that actually AVOIDS any real integration.

And that was me too.

What I’ve learned, as a result of my deep journey of embodiment, is that when we constantly seek outside of ourselves in this way, without allowing the seeds to cultivate within us – all the way down in the soil, we actually keep ourselves OUT OF BODY. This disparity can leave the physical body heavily malnourished energetically, leading to ailments and disease and psychologically, it can be wildly distracting/ unfulfilling/ frustrating/ depressing to run one’s life through the lens of an ungrounded fantasy.

It can also mean that we are led up the garden path by the next idea/ teaching/ teacher/ dimension, as we aren’t clear, grounded, or fully claiming our own energy field as our own.

In order to truly be a servant OF THESE TIMES, we have to act as the bridge for these higher layers of consciousness and energy to come through to us IN THE PHYSICAL.

To be embodied is to truly be aligned with and receiving from life.

Are you Ready to Die?

If you’re not actively taking from Life, you are merging with Death.

In many new age spiritual practices, we can spend much of our time out of body; reaching, grasping, seeking externally to ourselves, “channeling” other “consciousnesses”, our “higher” selves – always more, forward, progress, self-development; mirrored on the outside as economic growth, growth per capita, environmental exhaustion.

When you don’t nourish, or anchor into Life, into the Now, into what is coming up right under your nose in Life’s mirror, lost in some goal, some dream, or someone else’s reality, essentially, you’re not anchoring into your Heart, nor into your cells.

If you have a propensity to merge more easily with the ALL that is, Death is more familiar to you than Life.

Death is your merging with the ALL.

Unification with the ALL, without a firm and solid anchor in the Heart/ Now/ Zero Point Field, is in fact an anchor into Death. Death is the merging with the ALL and the dissolution of the I.

So, I ask, why follow any new age spiritual teachings that offer you that merger without the anchor?

We see this as a distortion with people teaching “spirituality”, or “quantum transformation” and at the same time not actually acting, nor actually perceiving the world, through their heart.

How do you anchor your I? You have to fully consent to life.

To fully consent to life, you must be vulnerable enough to receive – and this means receiving life from everywhere, every corner, every parent, ancestor, partner current or previous, every single thing that shows up in your life to offer you a breadcrumb to locating the next piece of yourself.

Life doesn’t work in hierarchies.

Life’s best teachers don’t cost more and more money.

Life isn’t a pyramid scheme to be conquered.

Legacy itself isn’t monetary either – it can be as simple as being able to receive life fully from your ancestral lines, in order to fully give life to your progeny.

Any teaching that is merger without anchor fosters your connection with Death, not Life.

You cannot serve from the ALL, it has to run through the I, through the Human – remember that the saints themselves had to physicalize in order to serve.

It’s all very well pumping out metta into the void, but unless you are anchored in, you are burning yourself out and actually doing Life a disservice.

It is possible to set up a very simple experience, whereby you can feel into in the moment where you stand on the scale between being able to take from Life and from Death. This is a very powerful movement and realisation and in turn can catalyse many large and significant changes in one’s life. If you would like to experience this, please do make contact.

To Deny your Ancestors is to Deny a Part of Yourself

"Would you rather be right, or would you rather have peace?" my teacher would say when inevitably we reach an impasse whereby our story sounds off louder than our heart's patient longing.

True freedom isn’t achieved through resistance and denial - of others and inevitably of parts of ourselves - and although these are of course valid portals to step through, these are not the final destination.

Quite the opposite of giving our power away, knowing our place in the wider tapestry of Life gives us the opportunity to see it all - and still strike out in Greatness.
